Kelli Nyman
Kelli Nyman is interested in using paper - an object that can be seen as clutter - and transforming it into something orderly and vast. Using paper as her palette, she folds, cuts, and assembles minimalist sculptural “paintings” focused on color, texture, form, and interaction with light. Each piece seeks to provide a sense of calm and spaciousness infused with rhythm and movement - inviting the viewer to pause, notice, and enter into a state of mindfulness. Kelli’s work is held in the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s permanent collection and has been commissioned by corporate clients including the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC and McKinsey & Company in Boston, MA. Kelli works out of her studio at Joy Street Studios in Somerville, MA and resides in Cambridge, MA with her husband and their adorable beagle/shar-pei pup, Winni.

Love is Battlefield by Pat Benatar, but I really want to memorize Hold On by Wilson Phillips with a friend for a duet!

I love a well-made Old Fashioned, but I also survive Boston winters by making Hot Toddies as often as possible, especially with friends. Definitely a whiskey girl!
