A native of the Boston area, but a global citizen at heart, Christine founded the South End's contemporary art gallery, Beacon Gallery, in 2017 and the nonprofit ShowUp in 2019. She is now the Executive Director of ShowUp, and, along with the board and her intrepid team, works to foster a space to empower artists, provide them with resources, and connect within and beyond the artistic community.
Christine spent more than a decade living and working in Paris, Hong Kong, and Singapore, where she cultivated her passion for the arts by experiencing the diverse cultural and creative depths around her and developed close connections within the art world. In addition to running ShowUp, Christine works as a curator, educator, and art historian, while also providing art and management consulting services to artists, nonprofits, and galleries. Christine is a member of the Association of Women’s Art Dealers (AWAD), Boston Art Dealers Association (BADA), the Massachusetts State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and trained as an appraiser with the International Society of Appraisers.
She has an MA in Art History from the UK's Open University, an MA in teaching from Tufts University, and a BA in French from College of the Holy Cross. She currently lives in the Boston area with her husband and two school-age children.

Tom Hardy. I’m a fan of his films, he doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously, and is a real-life badass. I love martial arts (or maybe just fighting? Mostly I love punching and kicking stuff). He can teach me some Brazilian jiu-jitsu anytime.

In my opinion, Spirited Away. As someone immersed in the arts with a love of the weird and wonderful, Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away is one of the few films I can watch over and over again. Hayao Miyazaki is such a master of animation and storytelling. This film resonated on so many levels. I’ve loved tales based in folklore my entire life, and the visuals delight upon every viewing. So, Spirited Away gets my vote... or Terminator 2.
